Limitations and quality
The biggest reductions usually come from scans and photo-heavy documents. Text-only PDFs may barely change, and stronger compression can reduce image clarity.

If the file is still too large, remove unnecessary pages first or try a stronger level. If details look soft, use a gentler level.

No — text and vector content stay sharp. Compression only re-encodes the embedded photos.
